K-6 Hybrid Homeschool
The Hybrid Homeschool program allows parents to combine instruction at school and at home for a phenomenal learning experience!
Hybrid Student Schedule Option #1:
August to June- T W TH
8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
3 or 2 Day Weekly Schedule
Hybrid Homeschools provide parents with the opportunity to have the best of both worlds. Families are able to expose their children to a traditional school setting while still maintaining a strong hand on the shaping of their child's educational path, with an emphasis on "home".
Our hybrid program will provide access to high quality teachers and curriculum support, the opportunity for learners to socialize with peers, and a chance for children to engage in enrichment programs and activities. Hybrid students can participate in all school events, field trips, and field days.
The 'At-Home" work load will not exceed one hour. Students will be encouraged to complete additional programming via the online curriculum and the consumable workbooks that will be provided to learners.
Hybrid Student Schedule Option #2: Compass Change Makers
August to June - M W F
Noon to 3:00 PM
3 or 2 Half-Day Weekly Schedule
Our young CHANGE MAKERS will have the opportunity to engage in a student centered environment, actively exploring real world challenges and solutions. Project Based Learning poses an authentic problem, challenge, need, or issue to be solved. Students participate in group discussions and receive a rubric that outlines tasks and end product expectations. Our hands on activities will encourage the utilization of critical thinking skills, as students work collaboratively on activities and quests designed to support the critical thinking and decision making process. As students work to complete each level of their quest, they will complete goals on their rubric, which helps to keep them focused and on track. At the end of the project, students will present their final product to the learning community for review and feedback.
Project Based Learning process employed by the school allows for:
Actively engaging in real-world and personally meaningful projects
A creative student outlet
Increased research and decision making skills
Incorporation of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)
Inquiry based learning
Development of listening, communication and public speaking skills
Lessons on diversity and the local community
Recognizing and adapting to change
Learning transferable skills that can be applied in a variety of settings.
