This idea began with one mother's dream!
Built by a Mom. Designed for Real Families.
Welcome to Compass Outreach & Education Center — a Cognia-accredited, mom-founded microschool created with intention, experience, and heart.
As a mother of five and an educator with over 20 years of experience in education, I knew firsthand that many bright, capable children were not thriving in traditional school environments. Families needed something different — something structured yet flexible, rigorous yet joyful, personalized yet empowering.
Compass was designed to change the face of education.
We believe students should have the opportunity to explore, discover, and Learn in an environment that encourages movement, play, creativity, and individuality. Our goal is simple: we want children to fall in love with learning — and look forward to coming to school every day.

Our Vision
Every parent deserves peace of mind knowing their child is developing the skills, confidence, and foundation to stand firmly on their own in the future.
Compass exists to inspire, motivate, and engage innovation-ready minds from all walks of life. We cultivate independence, accountability, compassion, and curiosity — preparing students not just for exams, but for life.
Our mission is to cultivate a community of lifelong learners by providing personalized educational experiences tailored to our families' lifestyles.

Our Educational Philosophy
Strategic Fun & Eclectic Learning
At Compass, we believe children and adults learn best through what we call Strategic Fun & Eclectic Learning.
This approach combines structure and intentional planning with engaging, hands-on experiences. Our customized curriculum intertwines four core educational concepts:
-
Project-Based Learning
-
Entrepreneurship
-
Nature Education
-
Student-Centered Instruction
Rather than relying heavily on textbooks or “teaching to the test,” our lessons are driven by meaningful projects and real-world applications. Students participate in enrichment experiences and community give-back initiatives that help them grow into compassionate thinkers and responsible citizens.
Our program emphasizes 21st-century skills, including:
-
Critical thinking
-
Collaboration
-
Creativity
-
Communication
-
Problem-solving
We intentionally blend physical, emotional, language, and social development through teacher-guided and student-initiated learning experiences. Music, art, discussion, storytelling, sensory exploration, and hands-on discovery are woven into daily instruction.
Because it’s not about what teachers cover — it’s about what students discover.

A Personalized Learning Environment
Compass began as a small, safe learning environment designed to reignite children’s natural curiosity and creativity.
Our campus features a one-room school layout that fosters collaboration across age levels, strong peer relationships, and mentorship opportunities. Students learn from one another while building meaningful connections.
Tucked away from the bustle of daily life, our location offers a beautiful property filled with natural light, open space, and outdoor learning opportunities. Breezy moments, shaded trees, and fresh air become extensions of the classroom.
Innovation happens here — inside and outside.

How We Teach
Our teachers are encouraged to break away from traditional, routine instruction. They design dynamic lessons using project-based and blended learning strategies that awaken students’ curiosity and tailor instruction to each child’s developmental needs.
We combine project-based learning with blended academic tools to ensure students not only master core subjects but also develop real-world skills they can apply in their personal lives.
Students are taught to take ownership of their learning, develop independence, and grow in accountability — all within a nurturing and structured environment.

Our Commitment
Compass was created to help students navigate life through lessons in entrepreneurship, education, and empowerment — strengthening not just individuals, but families and communities.
We are committed to building confident, compassionate, creative learners who are prepared to make meaningful contributions to the world.
We would love to connect with you.
